Two Awards for Two Mint Directors
The Royal Mint’s Chief Executive, Anne Jessopp, has been awarded a CBE for services to industry and the financial sector as part of the UK’s 2024 New Year Honours List.
The title, Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), is largely ceremonial and is awarded to those with a leading role in regional affairs through achievement or service to the community, or a highly distinguished, innovative contribution to a person’s area of activity.
Following her appointment as head of the Mint in 2018, Anne Jessopp became the first woman in 1,100 years to hold the position. ‘Being named alongside people doing such incredible work for the UK is a real honour, but I’m particularly proud of the spotlight it shines on The Royal Mint’, she noted.
